This is how you manifest what you (really) want
the one simple thing to do in your home
“We think you got a lot of potential, Kit De Luca.”
“You do? You think I got potential?”
“Oh yeah. Don’t let anyone tell you different, okay?”
—Pretty Woman
We all need that reminder sometimes.
A voice—whether from a friend, a movie, or our own intuition—that says: You’ve got this. Because let’s be honest: it’s easy to forget our own strength. To lose touch with the possibility and potential already living within us.
Our home can be that voice, too.
In feng shui, your home is more than just a reflection of your life—it’s an active participant. A quiet partner that helps you remember what matters most and gently supports your way forward.
Want to write your first book? Your home can mirror the energy of a bestselling author.
Ready to call in love? It can become the space of an open heart.
Craving more health, adventure, purpose? Your home can hold that vision with you.
One of my favorite ways to begin this transformation is with a statement piece.
HERE’S HOW TO DO IT:
Get clear on what you’re calling in.
Is it writing your book? Meeting your soulmate? Cultivating vibrant health? Creating more peace? Whatever it is—name it.Choose a symbolic object.
Pick something physical that represents what you’re inviting into your life. This is your grand gesture. It doesn’t need to make sense to anyone but you—so let it be personal, playful, or poetic. The sky’s the limit. What matters most is that you know what it means.Place it with intention.
Bring the object into your home as a visible statement of your intention. Let it anchor your desire into the physical world.
That’s it. That’s how a simple statement piece can help activate your potential.
Each time you see it, you’ll be reminded of what’s already in motion—and what’s on its way.
HERE ARE A FEW IDEAS FOR INSPIRATION:
Greater visibility 👉 Oversized light fixture
Increased abundance 👉 Healthy plant in a gold container
More adventure 👉 Large scale map
Profound peace 👉 Buddha statue
Published manuscript 👉 Vintage typewriter as decor
Vibrant health 👉 Display of fruit & vegetables
Expression of individuality 👉 Original artwork

Want to go deeper? Along with adding a statement piece, declutter anything that sends the opposite message of what you’re calling in. If you're opening to love, maybe it’s time to let go of those old letters from an ex. Calling in vibrant health? Take a peek at your pantry—Cheetos and Snickers might be getting in your way.

I love these examples! It’s all about intention, isn’t it? I’m going to sit with these for a while and decide what I want to bring into my home and life.
As always, I've devoured this fascinating article. Question for you -- I love the Buddha statue but, as a non-Buddist, from a feng shui perspective, is it offensive or wrong to place an object like that in your home? Thanks, Dorena.
