Hey, did you know you can feng shui your car too?

It’s actually more important than you might think. In feng shui, your car represents how you show up in the world, your ability to move forward in life, and how effectively you reach your goals.

So I put together a feng shui guide for your car, starting with the metaphors - what each part of your car is associated with. This part is worth paying attention to, because any issues you're having with your car can actually be a reflection of what's happening in your life.

THE METAPHORS OF YOUR CAR ::

Windows – the eyes of your car; seeing where you’re going, your perspective and insights

Battery – your personal life force energy, your ability to recharge

Tires – your stability, preventing disruptions, smooth movement

Engine – your inner power, your motivation and will to take action, your vitality

Rearview Mirrors – self-reflection, awareness of the past, your ability to monitor your surroundings

Headlights – seeing the path ahead, being seen by others

Doors – how you welcome in or block new experiences

Trunk – unseen baggage, your support system/what’s behind you

Interior – your internal mental and emotional state

5 STEPS TO SHIFTING THE ENERGY IN YOUR CAR ::

Now that you know what each part of your car is associated with, here are the steps to bringing that pixie dust like energy into your car.

1. Decluttering
   Start by removing everything that doesn't belong. Old receipts, empty bottles, bags you've been meaning to bring inside. It all creates stagnant energy. Oh, and don’t forget the glove compartment!

2. Cleaning
   Give your car a proper clean, inside and out. Wipe down the dashboard, vacuum the interior, and wash the windows. Clean windows mean clearer perspective. A clean exterior means you're putting your best face forward in the world.
   

3. Organizing
   Once your car is clean, put everything back with intention. Everything should have a place. I love trunk organizers for reusable bags, a first aid kit, and jumper cables.

4. Feng Shui’ing
   Use color, scent, and crystals to set the tone for how you want to feel every time you get in your car. Here are some good crystals to tuck into your glove compartment, as well as ideal essential oils to use in a car diffuser.

   Lavender for calmness

   Peppermint for focus

   Lemon for focus

   Lemongrass for cleansing

   
   CRYSTALS ::
   Black Tourmaline for dispersing tension and stress, protection from negativity, clearing negative thoughts

   Black Obsidian for shielding against negativity, absorbing negative energy from the environment

   Smoky Quartz for protecting, grounding, neutralizing negative vibrations

   Amethyst for calming, blocking negative energies

   Selenite for clearing

   Rose Quartz for spreading love

   Citrine & Aventurine for attracting abundance

5. Space Clearing
   Finish by energetically clearing the space. You can do this by burning sage or palo santo around the car, using a clearing spray, or even just setting a conscious intention for the energy you want to invite in.
